Aromatherapy is both a science and an art. The science looks at the plants used, the methods of extraction, and the chemical composition for therapeutic benefit. The art is the connection with the aroma.

 

Essential oils are extracted from various parts of plants. Methods of extraction vary depending on the desired outcome and material used. Understanding the process of extraction, which part of the plant is being used, and the chemical composition is another valuable part of what goes into making quality essential oils. Amy uses this information through her extensive training when creating essential oil blends.

Natural essential oils are gentler on the skin and provide the broadest range of aromatherapy benefits, including antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral.

Synthetic fragrances often contain chemicals that will disrupt hormones, are neuroendocrine disruptors, and can cause sensitization on the skin.

Part of an individual's overall wellness is discovering where you are and where you want to be. Amy will be there to guide you through this process and make suggestions along the way. These suggestions are several modalities combined for a multi-faceted approach to overall wellness.

 

During a wellness session or consultation, Amy will listen to your needs and goals and create a viable plan to help you reach your goals. Her plans include diet suggestions and lifestyle choices, nutritional supplements, and essential oils.
